About

The most stylish and luxurious neighborhood in Bali, Seminyak is home to many resident expatriates, several world-class resorts, and glamorous bars and restaurants alongside local independent boutiques.

Just north of Kuta and Legian, Seminyak exudes sophistication from sunrise to sundown. Its beaches are slightly less crowded than Kuta’s and the designer boutiques cater to high-end tourists that stay in the area. Scores of fine dining restaurants and posh spas are scattered around town.

Seminyak Beach is perfect for lounging under the sun, playing beach volleyball, or a bit of surf. Ritzy hotels such as Oberoi and W Bali Retreat & Spa line the coast. To dip your toes into Balinese culture in the midst of all the glitzy modern developments, visit the Petitenget Temple, one of the Dhang Kahyangan sea temples guarding the island, and view its red brick and sandstone structures in Central Seminyak.

Hit up Jalan Raya Seminyak to see a mix of designer boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and bars. For even more shopping, head over to The Seminyak Village, a multi-level mall that hosts popular retail brands. For some good grub, take your pick from the many restaurants along Seminyak’s ‘Eat Streets’ of Jalan Laksmana (also known as Jl Oberoi), Jl Kayu Aya, and Jl Kayu Jati, such as Motel Mexicola for Mexican cuisine, Brazilian restaurant La Favela, Revolver Espresso cafe, and Earth Cafe & Market.

At night, Motel Mexicola and La Favela transform into vibrant nightlife hotspots. Famous Bali beach clubs in Seminyak such as Ku De Ta and Potato Head Bali offer a chill atmosphere at their upscale lounges. For more a more lively clubbing experience, head to Red Ruby Club or Mirror Bali Lounge & Club.
