Eat your way through Chiang Mai with this delicious experience that will throw you into Lanna food culture headfirst. Your licensed local tour guide will begin by giving you a quick brush-up of Northern Thai history as you head to Chiang Mai's city center. There you will get your first dose of the quintessential Khao Soi (noodle soup) served in different ways. We won’t divulge the rest of the menu – that’s for us to know and for your taste buds to discover!
In a small group of eight (max!) fellow food lovers, you will also get to immerse yourself in Chiang Mai’s markets and temples plus meet restaurant / stall owners and chefs, who are sure to have lots to say when it comes to this coconut dessert or that chicken satay. Come hungry!
Transportation of this tour is included in the package. But most of the time, travelers will be on foot.
- Meet at D2 Hotel lobby
- Begin Chiang Mai Food and History Walk Tour.
- Take local truck to Chiang Mai’s city center
- End of tour, travel back to the hotel or continue to explore the charming Chiang Mai city on your own.
Great for food lovers, nice guide, recommend
Foodie’s heaven! Chiang Mai absolutely gather all the great food in Thailand. This is way better than explore it your self, you get friends to share the amazing Thai food and a good guide who tells you about the best part of local food!
Thai food is amazing!!! Love our guide Ken, he led us to a lot of good place to eat, it was amazing that I love all of them, I used to be picky about food ;P hahaha...and you need to join a group to share and get the change to try more, otherwise you will keep thinking that why you got so small stomach;) Hiiiighly recommend!
Chiang Mai is more than I thought it would be. Just because it is away from Thailand's busiest cities doesn't mean that there's nothing to do here. I loved everything I ate in the market. And thanks to the tour guide, I know a little bit more about Chiang Mai.
