Sightseeing in Chiang Mai does sound relaxing, but pair it up with a bike ride and it becomes the best workout session ever.
By cycling through the city, you will see a different side of Chiang Mai. You will bike in your own pace, and view the city's most precious sites. You will wander through Sabai before visiting Wat Chiang Man - the city's oldest temple. After this, you will visit another temple (Navel Temple) and spot the 700 year old white Buddha monument. The final temple you will visit is Wat Chedi Luang, which was once the home of the emerald Buddha. Before the tour ends, you will have lunch and cycle through an open market. Here, you will taste the flavors of authentic Thai cuisine, as well as shop for souvenirs. The bikes and safety gear are provided in the package. But transportation to the tour guide's meeting place will be handled by the participants.

This tour was a great way to get to know Chiang Mai. I knew that there were more things to see than what I've seen on the internet. Biking really made the experience more personal and authentic. And don't get me started with the temples. They were all so grand in their own right.
I can't remember the last time a workout session made me this happy. Four hours isn't that long, especially when the whole of Chiang Mai is your setting. I enjoyed taking a mini history tour on wheels and the market was just so charming. I was tired but proud of myself at the end of the trip.
