After pickup at your hotel, we’ll be heading to the Telong Elong Harbor and boarding a private chartered boat to our first stop of the day – Pulau Pasir. Also known as Sand Island, this large patch of, well, sand in the middle of the sea is a great place to swim around and enjoy the clear, turquoise waters.

“This really is such a fun place to visit. The so-called ‘sand island’ is actually a sandbank in the sea that is either covered with water or jutting out [to] the sea. But even when submerged, the water is crystal clear and the sand a soft and pale golden white.”Surfing Wild, UK

We’ll head to Pink Beach 2 (Pantai Angin Angin) next. Located barely 2km away from the main Pink Beach or Pink Beach 1, this less-crowded area is the perfect place to relax and swim around. From Pink Beach 2 it’s just a short boat ride to our next island, Gili Petelu. Don’t expect fancy amenities or even bathrooms on this strip. Don your snorkeling gear, dive into the inviting waters, and hopefully spy a friendly fish or ten.

Snorkeling and paddling around will definitely whip up an appetite, so we’ll head to Pink Beach 1 for a hearty meal right after. Also known as Tangsi Beach by the locals, Pink Beach is one of the only few pink beaches in Indonesia. It actually gets its color from pieces of reddish coral and shells that get washed up on the shore. Take photos by the pink hued sand and a dip in the sea before we head to our next stop.

“Pink beach is a nice beach to relax and lay down on, and even do some Gili snorkeling.”Sammy, Indonesia

Located approximately 1.5-2km away from Pink Beach, we’ll take a break from the sea and take bikes to our next stop, Tanjung Ringgit. The easternmost tip of the island, Tanjung Ringgit is known for its panoramic views of the coastline, lush surrounding forests, and spectacular cliffs. Take in the beauty of nature and capture some photos to serve as mementos.

Want even more amazing views? If you’re up to it, we’ll head to the Lingkoq Datu cliff viewpoint for sweeping vistas of the nearby crags and azure waters. After marveling at the scenery, we’ll make our way back to your accommodations after a wonderful day spent exploring the Gili’s lesser known islands.
