Clarke Quay

The most popular nightlife area in Singapore.

About

Clarke Quay may look like a quiet riverside area during the day, but once the sun goes down and the stars begin to shine, its streets come alive with colorful late night establishments, ready to show you an excellent time only Singapore can. Its most popular venues cater to the younger set that enjoy a good party and dancing all the way to the early morning, but it does balance out this carefree lifestyle by providing travelers a different way to jumpstart their night.

Zouk is Singapore’s first real super club and a frontrunner when it comes to world-renowned guest DJs, with David Guetta and Tiesto having played sets there, just to name a couple. Since Zouk prides itself with its amazing club music, drinks only come secondary, but if you prefer setting the evening ablaze with an energetic crowd, this is where you want to be. The G-Max Reverse Bungy might not be the first thing that pops up in people’s minds when they think of a good time, but it is definitely an attraction worth checking out by thrill-seekers. Seeing Clarke Quay from 60 meters above ground is one way to enjoy a great view. The adrenaline rush alone is sure to jumpstart your after-hour adventures. Shuffle Bistro Bar on the other hand, is the opposite. This spacious pub/bar provides late night travelers a comfortable place to chill and relax from a long and tiring day. They specialize in comfort food that’s sure to feel delight your palate and feel like a reward at the same time. In Clarke Quay you can even find some Latin bars, playing Suth American salsa and reggaeton.

Getting to Clarke Quay from Changi Airport is fast and easy. Simply take a cab and go through the ECP (this option has tolls). Take exit 15 and continue on to Ronchor Road. After that, take North Bridge Road to Eu Ton Sen Street.

Trip Guru would like to remind fellow travelers to stay alert, especially if you are planning to party hard. Bring a friend or a local along (or both, if possible) to make the most out of your Clarke Quay experience.
