Xcaret & Xplor Place guide

Six kilometers south of Playa del Carmen lies a 250-acre ecological theme park unlike any you’ve ever been to. Home to all Yucatánattractions in just one place, the enormous Xcaret features a museum, Maya village, butterfly pavilion, aviary, bat cave, tropical aquarium, beach, real archeological ruins, cenotes and other water activities in an all inclusive package.

One of Xcaret’s biggest draws is its system of subterranean rivers stretching out over a kilometer down which you can swim, snorkel or float!

Xplor: This nearby adventure park is also worth checking out if you’re big on ziplining and other outdoor adventures. Thrill-seekers can swim in a stalactite river here, ride an amphibious vehicle or fly over the trees on Mexico’s longest zip-line.
