About

Looking for more Jurassic-y islands besides the famous Nusa Penida in Bali? Venture beyond the touristy haunts and go on an overnight adventure to East Nusa Tenggara, far from the crowds. Explore the Rinca and Flores Islands in the legendary Komodo National Park for an unforgettable experience.

Day 1: We’ll begin our jam-packed day by heading to the airport and boarding a small plane to West Flores. After the short flight, we’ll make our way to the harbour and board a boat that will take us to Rinca Island. The island is situated in the center of the Indonesian archipelago and is one of the many that make up Komodo National Park.

One we touch the ground, we’ll start trekking through volcanic terrain, keeping our eyes open for the famous giant monitor lizards that inhabit the island. If you think komodo dragons are the only attraction on Rinca Island though, you’re in for a surprise. The enchanted landscape is dotted with scenic views, lush forests, and wild animals like deer, pigs, monkeys and buffaloes.

“...Saw several young dragons around the trails… it did make for lots of great photos posing with these gentle giants! Thanks to the excellent local rangers who help conserve this fragile ecosystem for future visitors.” Alicia, U.S.A.

After exploring Rinca, we’ll head back to Flores and Labuan Bajo, making a stop at Kelor Island (a.k.a. Bidadari) for a spot of swimming and snorkeling. Frolic in the turquoise waters, catch glimpses of schools of fish, or relax on the pristine shoreline before we make our way back to Labuan Bajo.

“Very beautiful view up at the top, and good snorkeling around the island. There's a swing where you can take pictures.” Alex, USA

Day 2: Our second day will be all about exploring Labuan Bajo. After breakfast, we’ll wander around the town and visit the local market to browse through the vendors’ goods and produce. We’ll head to the stunning Mirror Caves next, also called the Batu Cermin by the locals, and admire its sparkling walls and emerald green pool. From there, we’ll make our way to the airport, catch the next flight out to Bali, and shuttle you safely back to your accommodation.
