What is the best way to start the day? Why, greeting the sunrise of course! And what better place to do it than at the top of Mt. Batur.
Travelers who love soaking up sunshine will get the most out of this tour. Your day begins at 3:00am, where you are picked up from your hotel. The road to the starting point roughly takes an hour and a half, and before you can start hiking, you are briefed shortly. Once you begin your journey to the top, you are immediately surrounded by Bali's untouched beauty. And when you reach the sunrise point, you are rewarded with the first light of day. While at the top, you will enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee, and have your breakfast. The trip does not stop there because besides Mt. Batur, you are brought to a lake side, where you will explore the waters via a local boat. During your exploration, you will visit a local fish farm and stop by a coffee plantation. This tour demands a lot of walking, so it is not recommended for those who have health problems, disabilities, and children. Transportation will be provided throughout the whole trip.

This tour was more than I hoped for. Here I thought I was just going to climb a mountain, but when I saw the boat I became even more excited. My friends were right, there is more to Bali than just beaches. It was more pleasing to feel the sun on top of the mountain than on the sandy shores.
After taking this tour, I can never experience sunrise the same way. What can I say? Everything was spectacular. I just love the feeling of the warm sun congratulating me after hiking for almost an hour. It was tough getting to the site, but the tour guide was nice enough to wait for me.
