About

Don’t miss out on visiting some of Bangkok’s most beautiful temples just because you’re in Pattaya. This full day tour of Bangkok’s most famous temples will take you to six unique sites you won’t see anywhere else.

We’ll start the day nice and early before heading to our first stop, the Bangkok Flower Market. Known locally as Pak Khlong Talat, it is the largest wholesale flower market open 24/7. See the colorful displays of flowers and produce before we cruise across the river to our next stop: Wat Arun.

Situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, Wat Arun – also known as Temple of Dawn –  is a Hindu temple named after the sun god Aruna. Famous for its gleaming colorful spires seen from most viewpoints in Bangkok, we’ll spend some time here taking in the glorious sites before making our way to our next destination.

“We always saw this temple from a distance while cruising down the Chao Phraya river, but never up close! This is one of the most beautiful temples in the world! The attention to detail is stunning.” Beata, United Kingdom

Also known as Temple of the Reclining Buddha for its giant 46-meter long Buddha statue on its side, Wat Pho is our next stop. Besides housing hundreds of Buddha images, Wat Pho is also considered a leading school in Thai massage. They even have massage pavilions in the area where they offer massages for a couple hundred Baht.

After wandering around Wat Pho, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Wat Phra Kaew (also known as Temple of the Emerald Buddha) and the Grand Palace. Once home to the Thai royal family and the seat of government, the Grand Palace still maintains many of its dazzling buildings and structures. Within the huge complex of the Grand Palace is Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for the highly revered Buddha statue made entirely from jade.

“This is definitely a must-see when in Bangkok. There are lots of buildings in the complex with beautiful architecture and decoration.”Kay, United States
