About
Get ready for a day exploring the luscious bounty of the Big Island. The (unsurprising) size of this landmass makes self-travel a little tricky, but never fear because we’re taking you on an action-packed adventure session. You’ll be travelling with an experienced local guide who has a lifetime of Hawaii knowledge, covering everything from hiking in Hawaii to the history and culture. By the end of the day, you’ll be almost as full of wisdom yourself!
‘’Hawaii: amazing lush vegetation, rainforests, and botanical gardens. And of course, some spectacular waterfalls!’’ — Independent Travel Cats
OK Farms: Experience Hawaiian agriculture at this family farm, well-loved by visitors for over 100 years. With 1,000 acres of farmland to explore, we’ll spy coffee plants, macadamia nuts, cacao, hearts of palm, spices, citrus and tropical fruits. You’ll even get to sample the nuts and fresh fruit for yourself!
Rainbow Falls Hike: Still on the land of OK Farms, you’re in for a treat at this 80ft waterfall: a private swimming session! Dive into the turquoise-coloured pool and admire the thundering falls and dense tropical forest surrounding the secluded spot. Named after the spectacular rainbows formed by the spray, you might get lucky and see some yourself.
Kaimukanaka Falls: Measuring 541ft, this is one of tallest waterfalls in Hawaii. A must-see while on the Big Island!
‘’Some of my favourite waterfalls were Kulaniapia Falls, which was really tall, and Kaimukanaka Falls, which had two falls in one spot.’’ — Wanderlust Chloe
Kulaniapia Falls: After a fresh, tasty lunch, we’ll start our hike through the lush 22-acre forest surrounding Kulaniapia Falls. With an inviting plunge pool at the bottom, it’s the perfect place to try your hand at kayaking Big Island, stand-up paddle boarding, or simply enjoying a swim in the refreshing waters.
