Want to see and experience Chiang Mai's nightlife? Visit some of the best nightlife hotspots so you can get the most out of your experience with the help and knowledge of your friendly TripGuru!

We’ll start the night off by heading to the Chang Gate Phuak Night Market. We’ll wander along the kiosks and see popular street food vendors like the Cowboy Hat Lady famous for her Khao Kha Moo (stewed pork leg) and more. Feel free to try the famous Suki Chang Phueak (soft-boiled mixed meat with a special sauce) too.

“There's really only one reason to come here, it's the street food. Specifically, the Cowboy Hat Lady serving up some incredible pork plates.” 51rockyr

After taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the night market, we’ll head to The North Gate Jazz Co-Op. This laid-back bar is known for its live jazz shows. We’ll stop for a beer and maybe some snacks with a quick listen to some jazz music before heading to the next stop.

“Awesome music, good drinks, nice atmosphere. My ideal jazz bar. Cocktails and beers were good and cheap, and the music was seriously fantastic.” Naomi

Up next, we’ll ride a rod dang – Chiang Mai’s famous red taxi – to the Ton Lamyai Flower Market. This market is another hotspot for nightlife as it is situated by the river, making it a popular haunt for both locals and tourists alike. We’ll grab a bite of some local snacks and enjoy the riverside views before heading to Tha Nham Ton Goom Riverfront.

This is a hidden riverfront bar with an alfresco ambiance. We’ll enjoy a couple of drinks here with the option to visit a couple more riverside bars such as Sai Ping Bar & Restaurant, The Good View Chiang Mai, The Riverside Bar & Restaurant, and Deck One - All Day Eatery.
