Chiang Mai Countryside Bike Tour

Some things are best explored on two wheels, and the countryside of Chiang Mai is definitely one of them. Breathe in the fresh air of the mountainous province from aboard a bicycle and get up close and personal with its sights, sounds and vibrant culture.

You'll bike through the silent streets and lanes, undisturbed as you zip by the ancient city wall towards the sacred temples. When you use a bike, you get to cover more ground, getting into all the interesting nooks and crannies that a car could never hope to fit into. Chat with friends and take a break along the village market with some simple but filling Thai food. Enjoy biking through the Ping River and pass through stunning scenery before arriving at a charming wood-carving village in Ban Tawai. Make your way to the forest temple, Wat Umong, and explore the caves within this 700-year-old site.

The trip continues along the main road towards another market, where you can alight from your bike and spend some time walking through the stalls, looking for special souvenirs to take home.
