Coba: Our first stop of the day is the Coba ruins. Meaning &lsquo;water stirred by wind&rsquo;, archaeologists claim that Coba is one of the most important ruin sites and was one of the largest cities of the Mayan Classic Period. We&rsquo;ll walk and bike around the large network of stone causeways and take in the architecture and engraved stone slabs that document important events in Maya history.

Nohoch Mul: After exploring and learning about the Maya history and culture, we&rsquo;ll head to Nohoch Mul, the highest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula. Dubbed &lsquo;The Great Pyramid of Coba&rsquo;, Nohoch Mul actually means &lsquo;big hill&rsquo; in Mayan and is a 40-meter pyramid that boasts stunning, panoramic views of the area.

Cenote Choo-Ha: Having looked our fill at the ruins of Coba, we&rsquo;ll make our way to the nearby cenote Choo-Ha. This natural pool within a cave of limestone rock is notable for its craggly stalagmites hanging from the cave ceiling. It also houses a shallow crystal clear pool that is perfect for a quick and refreshing dip.

Cenote Tankach-Ha: Right next to cenote Choo-Ha is Cenote Tankach-Ha. This underground cenote is similar to its neighbor, but with deeper pools that make it a great place to swim and snorkel. There are also diving platforms to jump from.

After swimming in the cenotes, we&rsquo;ll stop for lunch before boarding our comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and making our way back to Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
