About

Take a break from visiting ancient ruins and spend a day immersing yourself in the local art and culture scene! This full day tour will have you exploring the charming town of Coyoacan and the historical Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Studio House Museum.

Our first stop is the Museo Casa Estudio de Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, also called the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Studio House Museum. This structure was commissioned by Diego Rivera with the purpose of having a house and studio combined in one.

It was in this space that both Diego and his wife Frida Kahlo produced a number of their famous works and housed a large collection of pre-Hispanic art. We’ll wander around the studio, learning about the story of the artistic couple while viewing some of their pieces.

“If you’re a fan of Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera – this is a must. The studio is awe-inspiring, to see Diego Rivera’s paints and artifacts are a treat. The architecture of the houses themselves is glorious.” Bella, US

Up next we’ll head to the pre-Hispanic village of Coyoacan. This charming town was once nominated as the headquarters during the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. Today it is known for its colonial architecture and tranquil atmosphere. We’ll explore the area along the bustling Francisco Sosa Street and take in the city views before heading back to Mexico City.
