About
If you’re looking for a Cancun tour or Playa del Carmen tour that checks all the major landmarks to visit, this is the trip for you! In this full day tour, we’ll take you to see some ancient ruins, a natural swimming hole called a cenote, and a UNESCO biosphere reserve – all in one day!
Ek Balam: We’ll start our adventure with a very early pick up from your accommodations in Cancun and Playa del Carmen. We’ll then head to Ek Balam, a Mayan archaeological site, to view the ancient structures, stuccos, and carvings. While exploring the ruins, we’ll also learn about the history and past civilizations of the area.
“Ek Balam was one of the most beautiful and well-preserved Mayan Ruins I’ve seen! I was thrilled we were able to climb the structures. Well worth the trip!” – Bobbi, USA
Cenote Hubiku: After learning about the Maya people, we’ll board our comfy, air-conditioned vehicle and make our way to Cenote Hubiku. This underground swimming hole is known for its flawless round shape and opening. On sunny days, striking rays of sunlight filter through the sinkhole and create a breathtaking view. We’ll have some free time to marvel at this natural wonder before we depart for Rio Lagartos.
“ WOW this was a major highlight of our trip. This cenote is crystal clear and JAW DROPPING. The rays shining in were breathtaking against the inner cave walls and on the water… It was perfect! ” – Advntrs, USA
Rio Lagartos Biosphere Reserve: This UNESCO biosphere reserve is home to a rich diversity of ecosystems and landscapes. We’ll see mangroves, forests, lagoons, and more teeming with flora and fauna. During our boat tour, we’ll also be on the lookout for flamingos, pelicans, sea turtles and crocodiles.
After filling our camera rolls with photos of the wonderful surroundings, we’ll have a tasty lunch in Rio Lagartos before boarding our vehicle and making our way back to your accommodations.
