Begin your day at La Plage Sunset Bar & Restaurant, where the chartered skipper will pick you up. If you didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast, don’t worry: fruit and snacks will be served to give you energy for the three destinations you’ll hit before lunch.
You’ll cruise into Big Lagoon first – bright and early, so hopefully you’ll have it all to yourselves. Swimming depends on you, the tide and the operator. Later in the afternoon, during low tide, bigger boats can’t get close, so people have no choice but to swim in (this might even be the more fun way of doing things, depending on how adventurous you are!).
Next up is the Small Lagoon, filled with sparkling aquamarine water at high tide. If you’re lucky it will be the season for the super-cute stingless jellyfish that occasionally float around. Travellers often rave about this stop as the best of the tour, thanks to the locale’s natural limestone cliffs and marine life. You can also opt to kayak for an hour here.
Your last before lunch is Entatula Island, famous for its white sand. You’ll have worked up an appetite by the time you have buffet lunch at Tayong Tayong Beach. Make sure you eat a hearty meal, as you have four more stops to go!
In between snorkelling at Helicopter Island and Pasandigan Beach, you’ll get a break at the tranquil environs of Cadlao Lagoon. Your last of the day will be Commando Beach for sunset, and then back to La Plage bronzed and salty from the day’s activities.

I've always been a quiet sort of person, so big tourist spots weren't for me. However, when I booked a group tour in El Nido, it felt like I was among close friends. We were all discovering something new about the island. Definitely a must-visit if you want to get away from crowds.
I enjoy swimming, but I don't like dealing with lots of people. Luckily, me and my friends were able to book a group tour. Best decision we ever made! It was like we had the whole island (mostly) to ourselves. There's a different kind of peace here that I've never felt anywhere else. We're already contemplating on coming back!
