Giant Mekong Catfish Fishing Trip (San Kamphaeng, Chiang Mai) – Full Day

Fine, warm day? How about a spot of fishing? Pin up your “gone fishing” sign and make for the lakes, ponds and fishing parks of bucolic San Kamphaeng, a short drive from Chiang Mai, Thailand.

We’ll start with a hotel pick up from your accommodation within the city limits (see details below). Enjoy the half-hour drive into the mellow village of San Kamphaeng, where we will stop at the pond. Here we will spend the day practicing one of mankind’s most ancient of arts: catching fish for food!

Our professional tour guides will describe how to fish, use the gear / equipment, the hook and bait, along with safety steps. He will then take us where we will be fishing for the day, to an area brimming with the giant Mekong breed. You might think this gets boring, but many have described this tour as “lots of fun and tons of action non stop.” See it to believe it!

In the afternoon we’ll savor a delicious meal at the dining room or by the pond. After a couple of courses of traditional Thai fare, it’s back to business!
