About

In Hanoi, food is more than a necessity – it’s a way of life! Come rain or shine, morning or night, friends and families sit at street stalls, dunking mouthwatering slabs of smoky pork into tangy broths, a steaming cup of egg coffee to hand.

You won’t find these delicacies in Hoi An nor Saigon as they’re actually unique to Hanoi! We’ll teach you how to prepare these delicious dishes during an authentic Vietnamese cooking class while treating you to unlimited Hanoi beer, coffee, soft drinks and bottled water.

Your morning or afternoon cooking class will begin with a trip to the local market where vendors serve fresh ingredients amidst the colourful clamour of busy Hanoi. Your experienced guide will help you select the best ingredients for the cooking class before transporting you to a traditional French-style villa in the heart of the old quarters.

Here you’ll spend up to three hours assisting the talented team of cooks as you whip up classic Northern Vietnamese dishes including bun cha (slow-cooked pork with rice noodles and a flavoursome broth), cha ca (fresh grilled fish), pho (everyone’s favourite noodle soup) and crispy spring rolls

Like the best Vietnamese food, these dishes expertly balance contrasting flavours such as smoky and zesty or creamy and bitter, the latter exemplified by moreish egg coffee! Once the class has finished and you’re full of wholesome food and fun facts about Vietnam and its cuisine, we’ll drop you back at your hotel. Bon appetit, or as the locals would say, an nào!
