Eating in Hanoi can be confusing because there are restaurants, food carts and street food joints everywhere you turn. Which are the best? What should you order? Navigating the foodie landscape can be as tough as crossing the road here – and we all know how daunting that can be! Let us do the hard work for you over a delectable food tour beginning with a pick up from your accommodation at a cool 5pm.

As we tour Hanoi by foot and soak up the wonderful sights of Ancient House, we’ll tuck into some favourite local street foods as curated by our guide – trust us, it takes a lifetime to find the best flavours in town. Famous Bánh cuốn (steamed rice rolls) and iconic pho (moreish noodle soup) are both on the menu... You can’t visit Vietnam and not try these two, right?

We’ll also tuck into some dishes you might not have heard of before including Che (sweet soup), Bun Cha (Vermicelli with grill pork) and Bia Hoi (local draught beer). Whilst eating these Hanoian delicacies, you’ll experience the ‘yin and yang’ concept used in Vietnamese cuisine that creates contrasting flavours and makes for a real taste sensation!

We’ll finish the tour by sipping on delicious egg coffee. This Hanoian staple made with rich Vietnamese coffee and whipped egg yolk tastes just like liquid tiramisu! The perfect end to a delectable night…
