About

Fresh and tasty Vietnamese is a cuisine like no other. Famed for its sense of ying and yang, the flavours complement each other perfectly. Unlike other Asian cuisines that will leave you totally stuffed, Vietnamese food is healthy and light. Don’t believe us? Let’s go sample the best bits and learn how to cook it, too!

With this Hoi An food tour, you’ll see the cooking process from start to finish, beginning at the local market. Your friendly tour guide will teach you how to pick the freshest herbs, chilis, meat and seafood – all locally harvested that morning. Once your shopping bags are packed with tasty ingredients, we’ll jump aboard a traditional basket boat and cruise down the river towards the leafy outdoor cooking studio.

“Vietnamese food is one of my all-time favourites. I love the sweet and sharp balance, the taste of fish sauce and the chaotic street eateries”Where Goes Rose?

You’ll spend the next 90 minutes playing chef as we whip up tasty Vietnamese dishes including light summer rolls (cucumber, shrimp and carrot wrapped in rice paper rolls) and crispy bahn xeo pancakes with pork and shrimp. Even if you’re a total beginner, never fear because in these cooking classes, a professional chef is always on hand to show you the ropes.

While your cooking course is bound to be a lot of fun, the best is yet to come – eating your creations! Before we return you home, you’ll enjoy a simple Vietnamese massage and ride aboard a traditional buffalo cart. If that’s not a unique day out, we don’t know what is!
