There are few modern metropolises that can beat Hong Kong in terms of wow-factor imagery. Every single insta-celeb has strolled the streets of Asia&rsquo;s World City with iconic shots of its 150-year-old double decker trams; suicide cliff; the incense spirals of Man Mo Temple; the rainbow-coloured high rises of Choi Hung Estate &ndash; so much character and so much diversity packed into a bustling beautiful city hugging the perimeter of Victoria Harbour.

We start at Kennedy Town&rsquo;s famous Instagram Pier, down by the waterfront of a recently gentrified neighbourhood. After shooting photos against Tsim Sha Tsui&rsquo;s skyline across the harbour, we&rsquo;ll head to Central. There we&rsquo;ll squeeze into the uphill cobblestoned steps of Pottinger Street, packed with vendors selling fancy dress costumes and accessories. Hong Kongers love to dress up, regardless of whether it&rsquo;s Halloween or not!

Up, up the hill we go until we hit Tai Kwun, a recently-opened cultural complex picture perfect for its block of colonial-era buildings from the British era. Man Mo Temple is next on our list, a small but magical site special for its enchanting lighting casting a halo of gold upon your head against a backdrop of red painted walls and orange incense spirals hanging from the ceiling.

After lunch, we&rsquo;ll head to the Monster Building in Quarry Bay, the favored backdrop of many a travel blogger. It vies against Choi Hung&rsquo;s estates for the city&rsquo;s &ldquo;most instagrammable&rdquo; spot, both being true urban legends. Finally, we&rsquo;ll end in eastern Kowloon: Chi Lin Nunnery, a tranquil oasis of Tang dynasty architecture and landscaping.
