If there is one tour you must take around the paradise archipelago of Palawan, it’s this: a day that starts at one of its most famous destinations and ends in hidden beaches. A number of water activities await, snorkeling being the main attraction.

Start your day at the much-publicized Dilumacad Island, whose helicopter shape has earned its nickname, Helicopter Island. White sand and rocky beaches that are perfect for lounging and swimming surround the picturesque islet. For the more adventurous, there’s also an underwater tunnel with rich marine life. Later you’ll also get another chance to snorkel in nearby Tapiutan Island.

Speaking of natural wonders, the next stop is known for the supernatural: Matinloc Shrine, site of an abandoned convent whose ghost is believed to haunt the island. From the boat alone, a sculpture of Jesus Christ greets visitors, setting the tone for a walk through forgotten history amidst magnificent nature.

After that, stay on the sunnier side of things with a hop through Secret Lagoon and Hidden Beach. Each has a distinct story to its name, but you will have to discover that for yourself!
