About
Limestone cliffs, dense forest and wild nature characterise the Malaysian island of Langkawi. Grab your camera and sense of adventure because we’re off to explore the 550-million-year-old mangrove forest that many refer to as the highlight of their time in Langkawi. Shortly after meeting, we’ll board a boat and head for Kilim Geoforest Park, a wildlife-rich region spanning 100km full of blue lagoons and sandy beaches. Keep your eyes peeled because otters, monitor lizards, macaques and tree crabs are known to reside amongst the jutting limestone cliffs.

The action-packed day’s itinerary will include stops at two unique rock formations, Bat Cave and Crocodile Cave. Formed by the ancient river that cuts through Kilim Geoforest Park, these spooky limestone tunnels are best explored on water. Don’t worry, while there are bats in the second cave, Crocodile Cave is named after the shape of the entrance only! Animals you will have a chance to spy during the day include tropical fish which we’ll hand-feed from the boat, and majestic eagles that swoop down to feed.

Other highlights will include cruising through the rich Langkawi mangrove forest and stopping at tropical Shoe Island to relax on the white sandy beach. In just four hours, you’ll see what millions of years’ history have shaped, and get a real feel for Langkawi’s spectacular gems.
