About
Elephants are some of the most caring, gentle, and playful creatures. If you’ve ever wanted to watch and play with these amazing animals up close, the best and most humane way to do so is through an elephant sanctuary. In this tour, you’ll be spending a few hours with the pachyderms before going on a sightseeing adventure of your choice.
We’ll start the day with a visit to the Koh Samui Elephant Sanctuary. There, we’ll meet the elephants, learn about their way of life, and get the opportunity to feed them, play with them, and even bathe them in a pool.
“We had the most amazing time at the sanctuary feeding and stroking the elephants – they were so cute and gentle. The workers take amazing care of the elephants and they seem very peaceful and happy.” – AMB
The rest of the afternoon’s itinerary will be up to you. We can visit Koh Samui’s famous temples such as the Big Buddha and Wat Plai Laem – both known for their large and striking statues. If you’re interested to see the mummified monk, we can also pass by Wat Khunaram.
If some outdoor adventure is more your speed, we can take a short trek to Namuang 1 Waterfall and take a dip in its cool waters. Otherwise, we can visit the famous Grandfather’s and Grandmother’s Rocks, and learn about the local legend of how the titillating rock formation came to be.
“The rocks and rock formation on this and many of the nearby islands were quite unique! The way some were oddly sticking straight up and just randomly, was probably something I don’t think I‘ve seen before.” – Jeff, Thailand
Another option is Wat Khao Hua Jook, a hilltop temple where you can see the views of the Samui International Airport landing strip and the surrounding towns. Lad Koh Viewpoint also has stunning, panoramic views of the coastline that are amazing for photo-ops. Alternatively, we can also wander along the busy streets of Nathon Town and do some souvenir shopping to purchase some mementos to remember your adventure by.
