About
Experience life as the locals do on this Bohol tour by the Loboc riverside. We’ll start right after noon with a pick-up or meet at a designated area. After a quick head count, we’ll make our way to Loboc Village where we’ll be greeted by the locals.
Known for their traditional ‘Bahay Kubo’ houses, made out of light materials like wood and bamboo, we’ll get to weave part of the roof of a Bahay Kubo with leaves such as nipa and anahaw, and even get to sample some local homemade coconut wine.
Rice is a staple in the Filipino diet, and for the Lobocs, rice planting is a way of life. During suitable seasons, we’ll get to understand more about how they do this by walking along the many rice paddies, listening to our guide, and meeting the Philipine national animal, the carabao.
We’ll finish off the day by learning how to crack open coconuts, and quench your thirst with the fresh juice, before heading back to our meeting point.
“The tours were not overcrowded at all and allowed us to feel more in touch with the nature along the river. it was so great to learn so much about how the locals live.” — Kelly, Australia
