I've always been curious about Thailand's ancestry because it is rich with historical tales. Meeting with the tribes and learning about their way of life, beliefs, and stories, opened my eyes. I got to understand them a little bit more than what the magazine tells me, and made precious friends along the way.
It was an honor to spend the day with all those tribes. It as great to visit more than one tribe because Thailand's history and culture is so much more than the Karen Long Neck Tribe. I recommend people to take this tour and just take a step back. It's great to see the tribes in their element.
The hill tribes were so surreal. It's like I was in a dream or something. The Karen Tribe did look beautiful with those brass rings coiled around their necks. It might be weird for some, but I think the accessory they are known for is what makes the tribe so unique.
