About

‘’If you want to have a nice view over Mt. Fuji on a clear day a trip to Hakone is recommended!’’ — flying_wanderlust

On this quintessential Mount Fuji tour, you'll visit Japan's most iconic landmark, see breathtaking vistas of Hakone, and enjoy a Lake Ashi cruise. The day trip features Japan's vast natural beauty, departing from Tokyo by bus. We’ll be covering the following attractions with awesome local guides:

Image

Hakone sightseeing cruise: Travel aboard a catamaran during the Hakone tour. The crater-filled lake was born from a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles.

Hakone Ropeway: Catch sweeping views of Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, Izu Peninsula, Izu Islands, Hakone National Park, and more while climbing up and down the mountain on an aerial cableway.

Owakudani Valley: Much of the area in Owakudani valley is an active volcanic zone where sulfurous fumes, hot springs and hot rivers can be experienced. On clear days, you can catch good views of Mt Fuji!

Finally, we’ll stop off at the famous Gotemba Premium Outlets for a spot of retail therapy or enjoy a Japanese hot spring in Hakone before returning to Tokyo. What a day!

IMPORTANT

Due to an increased possibility of an eruption, a no-entry zone is currently maintained around the Owakudani area. As a result, the Hakone Ropeway is out of service, and the Owakudani area cannot be visited. We have replaced the Hakone Ropeway and Owakudani Valley with Hakone Komagatake Ropeway and Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya.
