A 1 hr 30 min drive will take us to our first stop: the Gangchon Rail Park bike station. Here you can hire a cart to ride along the old train tracks, with scenic views and hopefully a nice breeze to keep you company. Different themed tunnels add an extra fun element to the activity.

Next we&rsquo;ll head to Namiseom or Nami Island &ndash; famous filming location where Winter Sonata was shot &ndash; the series that triggered the worldwide K-pop phenomenon. The half-moon shaped islet was named after General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels during the monarchy. It houses a theme park and sports centre, resorts, tree-lined lanes, etc., making it popular as a weekend getaway.

Finally, we&rsquo;ll visit Petite France, a small &ldquo;French village&rdquo; themed to Antoine de Saint-Exup&eacute;ry&rsquo;s novel, Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince). The place aims to look like a postcard from every angle, and is not surprisingly a popular film location for movies the likes of Running Man (2013) and series My Love from the Star.
