Breeze by each landmark on a curated route taking you through scenic riversides and autumn foliage, depending on your time of visit. We’ll cover the following sights:

Nakanoshima Park: An island sandwiched between two rivers – a pleasant oasis of trees and riverside walkways in the midst of Osaka’s unrelenting grey.

Image

Osaka Central Hall: On the eastern end of Nakano-shima (island), the locale is a favorite for afternoon strolls and picnic lunches. Snap photos and observe locals enjoying their day.

Sakuranomiya Park: A 4 km stretch of cherry blossom trees along the Ogawa River. “Sakuranomiya” literally means "Sakura Temple" in Japanese!

Image

Japan Mint: The head office of Japan Mint – the governmental agency responsible for supplying coins and medals or metal testing and certification. More than 300 cherry trees can be found on its premises.

Osaka Castle: Also known as Osaka-jo in Japanese, the building is the city’s foremost tourist attraction and symbol. Originally built in the 1580s, it bore witness the rise and fall of shoguns and daimyo over the centuries.

Utsubo Park: Constructed on the site of a former landing strip, this rectangular spread of green is a beloved Osakan hangout.

“[Our guide] took us to some great hideaway local places to eat and showed us some cool alleyways so that we experienced places we would never have found on our own. The tour was one of the highlights of our three week trip,” Traveling With Family, Melbourne (Au)
