About

Despite the awful rap it’s gotten over the past few years due to a rapid increase in popularity, swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob can still be an awe-inspiring experience if you do it the right way. We propose to take you on a journey from Cebu early in the morning to interact with the “largest fish in the sea, reaching lengths of 40 feet or more.”

Per new policy, feeding the butanding – whale sharks in native speak – must stop by 12 noon so that they can leave to search for other natural food sources. Hence, we must get there by around 6am to register. After that, we will be briefed on safety procedures, code of conduct, and everything else you need to know surrounding the day’s activities.

Then we will collect our gear: snorkelling equipment, mask, life jackets, etc. When it’s our turn to get on the boat, magic in the water will ensue!

After the once-in-a-lifetime experience, we will head to Badian where we will feast on a delicious, classic Filipino lunch before traveling to the jump-off point. Expect over 10 action-packed kilometers of excitement ending at Kawasan Falls, with its three layers of cascading mountain-fresh water.

There you can relax afloat your bamboo raft, enjoying a well-deserved chillout sesh, before we head back towards Cebu to wrap up the day’s adventure.

“I consider myself quite adventurous and travelled a fair amount, yet I would consider this to be the best trip I have been on.”Dean Cannock, UK
