About
Ready for a day of new experiences? After visiting Iceland’s largest glacier and beaches peppered with black sand and diamond-like icy formations, you’ll agree that Iceland is like nowhere else on earth! We’ll be visiting the following spots on this glacier tour from Reykjavik:
Jökulsárlón (The Glacier Lagoon): Connecting with Vatnajökull Glacier and the North Atlantic Ocean, this incredible body of water resembles a work of art! Small icebergs disconnect from the glacier and drift out to sea, creating an icy wonderland that has to be seen to be believed.
Diamond Beach: This photogenic spot is known for its striking black sand and giant ‘diamonds’ which are, in fact, chunks of ice broken away from the Glacier Lagoon. Have your camera charged because you’ll need the photos to remind yourself it’s real!
‘‘Fantastic – better than diamonds!’’ — Cara, Singapore
Reynisdrangar Black Sand Beach: A second black sand beach complete with striking basalt columns, rumoured to be frozen trolls who stayed out too late after sunrise!
“Never seen anything like it, not just ashy but jet black. the rock formation is awesome to see too, reminded me of the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.” — Krimson, Edinburgh (UK)
Vik village: This charming village looks out over craggy black volcanic cliffs and the wild, choppy ocean. Romantic sorts will love this savage landscape.
Seljalandsfoss Waterfall: Walking behind the 60m drop of this majestic waterfall makes for a memorable experience and fantastic photo stop. What better way to end a day in Iceland?
