As we pass through the rice fields, we’ll soak in untarnished views of the bucolic area, observing Cambodian locals go about their daily life. We’ll learn a bit about their communities and schools, the importance of traditional temples in their culture, and even get to interact with some as we wander through their territory.

Before heading back, we’ll stop at Athvear Pagoda – a small attractive temple located on the way to Tonle Sap Lake. South of the city center, it’s founded on the site of an ancient 12th-century temple built by King SuryavarmanII. The pagoda has its own unique design facing west, like Angkor Wat, and is believed to be dedicated to the God Vishnu.

“We went cycling for 20km through the countryside of Siem Reap. It was an eye-opening experience for me to see the lifestyle and customs of local Cambodians. I would definitely join this again.”Nur Khalida, Malaysia

“The cycling was not difficult. The tour guide took time to explain life in the villages and countryside. This is a great tour and led by Cambodians who really want to share their everyday life.”Gilly, Hong Kong
