About
The diverse city of Taipei has something for everyone, whether you’re a foodie, culture vulture or shopaholic. This entertaining evening tour is led by a fun and friendly local guide who will show you a unique side to Taiwan’s capital. During the four-hour tour, you’ll eat like a local, soak up the history, and finish with a glamorous cityscape view. We’ll make the following stops:
Lungshan Temple: This intricate Taoist temple was built by Chinese settlers almost 300 years ago. It’s survived battles and numerous natural disasters, putting it on the map as one of Taipei’s best-loved attractions.
‘‘The place has beautiful architecture and even has a waterfall inside the premises.’’— David, The Philippines
Huaxi Street Night Market: Also known as Snake Alley, this bustling market is a popular place for adventurous foodies. If you don’t fancy sampling snake, you can tuck into various tasty snacks and desserts, or simply browse for souvenirs.
‘‘Great place to shop, eat and play. Great food selection!’’ — Melanie, Malaysia
Din Tai Fung Restaurant: It wouldn’t be a trip to Taipei without a visit to Din Tai Fung, voted one of the top 10 restaurants in the world by the New York Times. We’ll try the speciality dish, xiao long bao, which translates as steamed dumplings.
Taipei 101: Once the tallest building in the world at 508m high, this tower is a must for a skyline view. You can add an optional visit to the Observatory.
