<p>Veterans of the Vietnam War will always look back at the battle of Long Tan as a battle that had many long-lasting repercussions. It took place in August 1966 and is a meaningful event both to locals, as well as Australians and New Zealanders. The outcome of the battle established the 1st Australian Task Force&#39;s dominance over the province of Phuoc Tuy, allowing them to pursue operations to restore government authority. This is why looking back on this event gives people good cause to remember the lessons of the past.<br />

This experience is designed specifically for Australian and New Zealander veterans and their relatives and/or friends, as well as visitors interested in historically meaningful battle sites. The focus will be on the sights &ndash; wherever possible, we bring past combatants together in a spirit of reconciliation. The tour will last 8 hours including travel time, and will include transportation, food and beverages, and a local guide knowledgeable in the rich history of the area.</p>
