Good morning, Bangkok! We hope you&rsquo;re an early riser because this temple tour is for people who actually want to see the inside of the monuments they visit. And that means coming during opening hours as most temples close before sunset in Thailand (the latest around 5pm). So, breakfast or no breakfast, let&rsquo;s meet at 8am at your hotel lobby and start the tour.

We&rsquo;ll dodge the crowds by jumping on a Bangkok taxi boat in true local fashion. The watercraft typically carries passengers from the suburbs into downtown for the work day. Along the Chao Phraya River or &ldquo;River of Kings&rdquo;, we will pass several 5-star hotels as well as observe the harmony among Buddhist temples, Christian Churches and mosques dotting the cityscape.

Our first real stop is Bangkok Chinatown, a fascinating hustle and bustle of shops selling gold, all sorts of food, incense and just about everything else. We&rsquo;ll discover what the Chinese here have in their kitchens and stop to visit an old shrine inside the market before moving onto Pak Khlong Talat, Bangkok&rsquo;s largest Flower market. Here we&rsquo;ll enjoy bunches of orchids, lotus, jasmine and myriad other flora from all over the country. Absolutely local atmosphere!

Finally we&rsquo;ll hit the famous Wat Pho, or Reclining Buddha Temple, one of the city&rsquo;s oldest and largest temples. We&rsquo;ll also see the nearby Wat Arun or Temple of the Dawn, Bangkok&rsquo;s unmistakable landmark of postcard fame. We&rsquo;ll climb its outstanding tower to get the most spectacular views around the Chao Praya and Grand Palace.

If &nbsp;you didn&rsquo;t pick up anything to munch on at the market earlier, this would be the perfect time to grab a bite. We can stop at any point to take lunch as you prefer: whether that&rsquo;s street food or a local restaurant.
