Golden Bridge Place guide

Since it opened in 2018, the “Golden Bridge” – said to look like “the hands of god” in Ba Na Hills – has gone viral. The 150-metre-long pedestrian walkway sits like a thread on two hands at a height of 1,414m above sea level, connecting Sun World Ba Na Hills’ French Village to La Jardin D’Amour Gardens. It hovers above Paradise Garden, 12.8 meters wide and 150 meters long comprised of 8 arches, the longest being 21.2m.

TIME listed this architectural marvel among its list of “World’s Greatest Places 2018”, saying “The two massive stony hands emerging from the mountains of Central Vietnam may look mossy and cracked like ancient ruins, but don’t be fooled; they’re brand-new wire mesh and fiberglass supports for a… 500-ft-long footbridge. The expanse gives visitors plenty of space to take in the scenic views.”

When to go: Visit the “Golden Hand Bridge” as soon as the gates open (7:00am) at or last from 3:30pm, just before you take the cable car back to the entrance. Most tour groups go to the bridge mid-morning, and it gets really packed. Late afternoon would be best for that photo shoot sans the crowd. The site closes at around 6:00pm – earlier than the park, which stays open until 10:00pm.

• Take a 15-minute cable car ride from the entrance of Sun World Ba Na Hills to the “Da Nang Hand Bridge”
