About

Over 6,000 years old, Green Island is one of the 300 sand and coral cays of the Great Barrier Reef, and the only one with a rainforest. It is home to over 120 native plant species, colorful bird life, and is surrounded by coral gardens and abundant marine life. This tropical island paradise has been a popular destination for years and features a wealth of activities from snorkeling and diving to swimming and viewing the reefs.

Spend the whole day on this beautiful island, choosing to either swim in the clear waters, snorkel with the sea creatures or scuba dive with an instructor. You can also opt to view the underwater life through the glass-bottom boat, or simply relax in the powdery-white sands by the shoreline.

Other alternatives are to combine a Green Island visit with other localb. Those include Cairns harbour cruises, a visit to the b and its famous markets (complete with scenic railway and skyrail transfer), or snorkeling and swimming at the outer reef platform of the Great Barrier Reef.

Check out our own Great Barrier Reef Snorkeling and Green Island Tours for an amazing experience. You can choose between thefull day and half day tours!
