About
This Oahu photography tour is perfect for visually-inclined individuals featuring shorter walks without missing out on any of the island’s fantastic locations. The circuit is a total of 5.5 hours and takes guests on a journey through natural attractions, movie sites and other must-sees.
Start with panoramic views of the Waikiki and Honolulu skyline from secret spots, including the Tantalus Lookout. From there, head to the Pali Lookout for a brief history lesson on King Kamehameha and the epic battle of Nuuanu.
“The Nuuanu Pali Lookout is truly spectacular. It was very windy, but still the view overlooking Honolulu was amazing. I felt like i was up in the clouds – definitely a “must do” attraction on the Island of Oahu.” — Rish, Sydney
After that dose of history, come face-to-face with the Ko’olau mountains, followed by the white sands of Waimanalo. We’ll then fuel up at Ono Steaks and Shrimp Shack featuring local produce.
The afternoon will leave us breathless from the views at Makapu’u Beach Lookout the easternmost point of Oahu, followed by Hanauma Bay – the island’s jewel and snorkeling paradise. In the local language, its name translates to “the curved bay”.
Next, we’ll stop by Sandy Beach Lookout to peek at views of powerful shore breaks and the beautiful stretch of fine sand that lays just beyond the next stop; the famous Halona Blowhole. The formations here were created thousands of years ago when molten lava tubes were formed from volcanic eruptions.
“The Halona blowhole will send water at least 25 feet in the air! When high tide comes in, it is a fantastic natural phenomenon, although it’s all or nothing. We had the luck to stop during heavy surf and got to see the blowhole in full force.” — Gary, Michigan
