About
Once the sun sets and the stars come out, Istanbul transforms into a dazzling metropolis with a completely different atmosphere. Wander around the city’s famous sites and landmarks in this guided walking tour and get to skip the daytime temperature and crowds! In this evening tour, you’ll be visiting the following spots:
Basilica Cistern: Meet up at the meeting point before heading to our first stop, the Basilica Cistern. Dive into the depths of the largest cistern in Istanbul and learn about the history of this ancient cavern. Wander through the hauntingly beautiful chambers, all while enjoying the night's cool breeze – a refreshing change from the daytime heat.
“One of the most beautiful things I have seen thus far. 100% respect for the architects of that time, from the Roman and Byzantine to the Ottoman...Wow!” – Jenny, UK
Hippodrome: The last stop of the day is the Hippodrome. This famous area was once a place where the Byzantine emperors would hold chariot races. Get up close to the obelisk and marvel at its historical significance before calling it an evening well spent.
Sultanahmet Square: We’ll end the evening with a leisurely stroll around Sultanahmet Square and take in the city sights, which include Ibrahim Paşa Palace, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Hurrem Sultan Hammam. See the bright lights of these iconic buildings and snap memorable photos to save as memories of the evening! End the tour with a stop at Ticarethane Street for some refreshments.
“This is probably the most iconic place to visit in Istanbul. This beautiful square is a must-see with its wide open space and is a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing.” – Cari, USA
