Mekong River Delta & Cu Chi Tunnels Tour – Full Day

We’ll start bright and early with a pick-up from your accommodations. You can get a bit of shut-eye as we make our way to Cai Be, a river-land mixed town known for its idyllic scenery. Once there, we’ll board a boat and take a leisurely cruise down the river as we observe the locals go about their daily lives.

We’ll see vendors on boats selling local produce, traditional villages made in the old-style Vietnamese design, picturesque landscapes, small workshops and factories, fruit farms, and more. After taking in the sights and sounds, we’ll stop by a local restaurant for some delicious lunch before heading to the Cu Chi Tunnels.

In the late 1940s, during Vietnam’s struggle against the French colonists, communist forces dug a network of underground tunnels in the jungles of Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City). This amazing subterranean network is now known as the Cu Chi Tunnels. We’ll learn about the origins and history of the tunnels as well as see and explore these once-secret passageways up close before heading back to Ho Chi Minh.
