We’ll meet at the Kabatas Station before making our way to the Dolmabahce Palace. This grand palace served as the administrative headquarters from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. We’ll wander around the majestic structure and snap photos of the intricate architecture before boarding a ferry to Uskudar.
“This palace is worth the visit. Beautiful art pieces, rich history. Wonderful gardens. Great architecture and view of the Bosphorus. Stunning palace.” – Kamen, Bulgaria
Up next, we’ll visit the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque – a magnificent architectural masterpiece that embodies the grandeur of the Ottoman Empire. Adorned with intricate tilework, frescoes, and stunning Iznik tiles, the palace offers panoramic views of the city and features well-manicured gardens. Explore the halls, chambers, and private quarters as you learn about the history and of this iconic landmark.
Kucuksu Pavilion was commissioned by Sultan Abdülmecid to serve as his summer residence. While not as large as other city landmarks, this opulent pavilion is a sight to behold due to its neo-Baroque architecture and design.
We’ll stop for a delicious local lunch before boarding another ferry and heading to Beylerbeyi Palace. Built as another imperial Ottoman summer residence, this 19th-century palatial structure features impressive neo-Baroque designs, stunning gardens, and glorious pavilions.
“We loved this palace. The rooms were amazing – the fountain room, the chandeliers, amazing. And the view from the pier overlooking the water is worth the trip. A must-do!! TOTALLY underrated!!!” – Harlem Family, USA
