The Phi Phi Islands

See Thailand’s Sunny Side at The Phi Phi Islands

About

Located between the large island of Phuket and Strait of Malacca, the Phi Phi islands of Thailand have become a popular tourist attraction – especially to those who love to greet the open air by smelling the salty sea. This charming area where the limestone mountains meet the ripples of the sea is composed of two islands namely, Phi Phi Leh (completely free of inhabitants) and Phi Phi Don (the island without any roads).

Visitors get a balance of fun, peace and quiet at these islands. Even if they are flocked to by many, the Phi Phi islands offer a different kind of beach experience. Though their general appearance is as pristine and clear as the waters, they hold thrilling adventures for travelers in search of adrenaline.

On water: Thrill-seekers may plunge into the sea via cliff jumping or through a friendly snorkeling session. Scuba divers can grab their gear and come face-to-face with Phi Phi islands’ aquatic residents.

On land: There are numerous activities travelers can enjoy on the islands’ terrain as well. Sit and dine in a variety of restaurants both local and international. For a more calming environment, take yoga classes or simply lie down and get a traditional Thai massage

Tatoos: As for travelers who want to commemorate their visit with ink, walk into any of Phi Phi islands’ tattoo shops, and get one through the bamboo method or by machine.

While seemingly bursting with life, don’t let the Phi Phi islands’ facade influence you. Due to the massive waves of tourists that come and go each day, the islands’ natural beauty is slowly being destroyed. We’d just like to remind all travelers to be aware of their actions and clean up after themselves to minimize environmental damages.

Ferries leave around 8:30am to 10:00am and 1:30 to 2:30pm. Speedboats, on the other hand, are more flexible as they can be hired for private use.
