Patong Beach Place guide

Patong Beach has an exciting (but sometimes trashy?) pulse to its nightlife, making it difficult to ignore as you wander down Soi Bangla, the heart of the bar scene. Here, the only priority is to have as much fun as possible. 

Patong Beach is one of the busiest nightlife areas in Thailand, with several bars and clubs primed for partying, though you may find go-go bars and discotheques as well. 

Some famous destinations here include Seduction Nightclub, the biggest discotheque in Patong Phuket, located on the main nightlife entertainment strip and found on the second floor of the Seduction Complex. It's so large that it has five separate venues, and can hold up to 3,000 people. 

Another is Soi Sea Dragon Street, which has 46 bars, shops, and even a tattoo parlor. You can also visit the Hard Rock Café, which offers western rock music, drinks and live entertainment.

Operating hours for the bars and clubs of Patong Beach vary; there are places that are open from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, and close from 2:00am to 6:00am. Take note to keep all your belongings safe and be aware of your surroundings as pickpockets are known to surface in large crowds and can cause precious valuables to go missing.

How to get there

• To get to Patong Beach, Phuket on Bangla Road, you can begin from the Phuket City Center where taxis can be caught to Bangla. 
  
  
• Other modes of transportation include the regular buses in Phuket, as well as private cars and vans ready to take visitors to Bangla Road. 
  
  
• From Bangla Road, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Patong Beach.
